ABSENTEE BALLOT

 

Anyone interested voting by absentee ballot at the 2019 annual meeting may request a ballot via e-mail, mgl379@yahoo.com, and then returned to my attention by return e-mail, or mail to Hendersonville Community Theatre, attn: Board Secretary, 229 S. Washington St., Hendersonville, NC  28739. Ballots will need to be returned to me by April 4th, 2019 to be included in the annual meeting.

What:

The purposes of the meeting are to: (1) Elect two officers to the Board; (2) Transact such other business as may properly come before the membership of HCT.

We will provide:

Light hor d’oeuvres. BYOB Beer and wine.

Who Can attend:

Any member or volunteer

Who Can Vote:

Any adult who has satisfied all requirements for membership at the close of business on March 7, 2019, shall be entitled to one vote in person or via absentee ballot.  Email secretary@hendersonvilletheatre.org for a ballot.

Not a member?

Basic membership is $25 for an individual or $50 for a family. You may complete your membership or check your status online at hendersonvilletheatre.org/get-involved/membership or mail your membership it to HCT, 229 South Washington Street, Hendersonville, NC 28739. CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION

 PRESIDENT

Ryan Haylock is currently the Chief Information Officer for The Quartz Corp., a global joint venture of Norwegian Crystallite and Imerys, S.A with operations in the United States, Norway, the United Kingdom, and China. He is an accomplished business leader who has worked all over the globe building culturally diverse teams in many operating areas of both for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Since graduating from Duquesne University with a Master’s Degree in Leadership, Ryan has taught management and leadership topics at the University level and has focused on building a career as both a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. During his time working for Sofia University in Palo Alto, California, Ryan served also served as the COO and Interim CEO of the for-profit arm and as the Board Chair for the non-profit.
 A music-lover, photographer, saxophonist, and lover of the Arts, Ryan also sits on the Advisory Board of the North Korea Refugee Aid foundation (http://nkrefugeeaid.org).

TREASURER 

Helen McConnell is a retired Attorney, private practice with a focus on Family Law issues, admitted in New Jersey, Federal District Courts in New York and New Jersey, Third Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court. She was the Law Secretary to the Hon. Florence R. Peskoe, P.J.F.C., Monmouth County Courthouse, Freehold, New Jersey. She held positions at Biltmore Estate Winery, Asheville, North Carolina and H & R Block, Main Street, Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Her educational background includes Juris Doctor, Seton Hall School of Law, Newark, New Jersey. Bachelor of Arts, Douglass College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.

An active volunteer in the community Helen has spent countless hours with HCT and many other organizations.  Here is just a short list over the last 10 years. 
Since 2013        Actor, stage manager, concessions manager, box office manager, patron/membership manager, managing director, president at HCT
2007- 2012        Usher, Flat Rock Playhouse.
2003 – present   Henderson County Contact, Project Linus.
2000-2007         Guardian ad Litem, Henderson County GAL program.
