We’re here because of you.
The Hendersonville Community Theatre is proud to be Hendersonville’s oldest, continuously-running theatre. But without you, it would never have happened.
For over five decades, the Hendersonville Community Theatre has dazzled audiences as Hendersonville’s oldest, continuously-running theatre. We’ve attracted actors, actresses, directors, stage managers, electricians, sound engineers and more from across the country to Western North Carolina. All of this wouldn’t be possible without your support.
The theatre exists as a nonprofit dedicated to bringing the very best of American theatre to Henderson County and making it accessible to all in the area, region, and state.
We commit to keeping our ticket prices low and we rely on the generosity of people like you — people who have seen first hand the power of the performing arts, people who have seen one show or have seen a show each season and people who truly believe in the mission of our theatre.
We couldn’t make the magic happen without you. That’s why we’re asking for your support to continue to keep the magic alive. To keep us going for the next five decades. To ensure all in Henderson County have access to theatre.
By donating to the theatre, you make a REAL IMPACT on our excellent, year-round programming. Your investment goes directly to:
- Play royalties

On behalf of the Hendersonville Community Theatre staff and board, on behalf of those that will see the effect of your donation and on behalf of those that made the theatre what it is today — thank you!

Investing in HCT
The importance of creating a “tradition of giving” at HCT cannot be overstated. We cannot run our theatre today without it. Looking to the future, it will provide a solid foundation on which to realize our dreams of a with future enhancements and growth. As a non-profit community theatre, HCT receives no financial support from federal, state, or local governments. Over its 50+ year history – through its excellent stewardship of revenues from theatre productions and donations from patrons, HCT has accrued a savings to be used towards the future of the theatre. Our financial support comes from all sections of our community: volunteers, actors, audiences, supporters of the arts, businesses, foundations and citizens of all ages who want to see an improved quality of life.
The HCT Fund

Well into the future, Hendersonville Community Theatre will be grateful for the generosity of its members who had the foresight to donors to make a planned gift. A planned includes any gift which is carefully considered by a donor in light of estate and financial plans. Planned gifts that provide income due to the sale of an asset that is no longer needed. Their flexibility makes them popular; they can have significant tax advantages and even provide income for the donor. Planned gifts usually come in the following forms:
