Jonathan has been a part of Hendersonville Theatre (formerly Hendersonville Community Theatre) since 2009.  His involvement began with God’s Favorite in the Barn off State Street in Hendersonville. From there, he went on to produce, direct, and stage manage numerous shows for the theatre. He has also directed several productions for Brevard Little Theatre. He has served on the board of directors as executive producer for the past three seasons. Jonathan is the marketing director for Trinity View Senior Living Community in Arden when not onstage or working behind the scenes.  

 
 

Beth Norris, Secretary

Beth is a native of Hendersonville and graduated from North Greenville University in 2015 with a degree in Theatre Performance. She began her theatrical journey with Hendersonville Little Theatre in the Barn during 2011’s production of The Music Man. She continued to be involved through the years as the theatre grew and changed into Hendersonville Community Theatre. She has participated as an actor, sound designer, stage manager, producer, and director and served as the volunteer coordinator while volunteering at other area theatres in Brevard, Asheville, Greenville, and Anderson. Beth is excited to bring her ten years of theatre experience into another new and challenging role as it revamps and revitalizes itself to face a new economy and social scene.

Michele Sparks, Interim Treasurer

Michele opened Art Mob Studios & Marketplace in downtown Hendersonville in 2011, allowing artisans to sell their work to downtown visitors. Beginning with 25 local artists, her business now represents 86 artists from Henderson County and other parts of Western North Carolina, many of whom would need help to have their own local gallery space. Shortly after opening her business, Michele jumped into the Hendersonville Main Street Program and has been involved in every downtown development area. She volunteers with events like Rhythm & Brews and organized the local Art on Main festival to support the ArtScape outdoor art gallery program. Michele is an upbeat, creative problem solver among downtown businesses and the arts community and a critical part of downtown Hendersonville.

Victoria Lamberth, Board Member

From 2016-2019, Victoria was a regular on the Hendersonville stage as both an actor, director and staff member. Victoria has previously served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations and Managing Director. Victoria began acting over 40 years ago, and she has appeared in professional and amateur productions in Memphis, Nashville, Los Angeles and Western North Carolina. For the last 20 years, she has directed professionally, recently directing Love, Lost and What I Wore at HT, Grimm’s Fairy Tales at Montford Park Players and The Sparrow and the Whippoorwill at The Magnetic Theatre. Prior to relocating to Hendersonville in 2011, she was employed by Hendersonville (TN) Performing Arts Center. Victoria studied theatre, advertising and public relations at the University of Memphis and Marquette University. Over the course of her career, she has managed staff, marketing and communications for both professional and community theatres. Victoria also provides strategic guidance and produces online, print and marketing and collateral materials for a wide range of clients.

Jimmy Ferraro, Board Member

Jimmy is a theatrical stage director with over 100 productions to his credit, most recently My Big Fat Italian Wedding Murder, which ran for two years in Florida and most recently in Chicago. He also produced and directed the hit New York premiere of Raunchy Little Musical…Belle Barth is Back! is scheduled to open at The Hendersonville Theatre in March and ran in Chicago in 2023. His credits as a producer and director are an outgrowth of decades as a professional performer throughout the U.S. and overseas, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatre. He made his Broadway debut in Fiddler On The Roof, directed by Jerome Robbins. Jimmy appeared in two Broadway national tours of Fiddler, with over 3000 performances to his credit. He starred as Tevye (his signature role) in Fiddler on the 2012 National Tour (winning Broadway World’s Best Actor in a Musical Award). He is also known  throughout the country for his roles as Sancho Panza in Man Of La Mancha, Nicely-Nicely in Guys And Dolls, each of which he has played more than 1000  performances and as Edna in . Jimmy and his wife, Broadway actress Dee Etta Rowe, now make their home in Hendersonville.

Dr. Steve Woodsmall, Board Member

Steve enlisted in the US Air Force in 1975 and retired as a Major (0-4), holding several command positions. He has a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management. He has also published academic papers and authored a book, It Beats Eatin’ Lizards—Lessons in Life and Leadership. Following retirement from the Air Force, Steve held positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Aviation Administration, several corporate leadership positions, a community action agency, and has taught at several colleges and universities, including Brevard College. His 2019 TEDx talk on systems thinking has been viewed over 75,000 times. He has been active as a member of the Transylvania County Planning Board and board of directors for Brevard Little Theatre, where he has also performed in numerous productions. He conducted seminars for the Transylvania County Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Transylvania County NAACP. Steve is also a former NCAA women’s college basketball official, an AAU national official, and a North Carolina high school basketball official. He and his wife, BJ, reside in Pisgah Forest, where their property is a National Wildlife Federation-certified wildlife habitat.
