Hendersonville Theatre welcomes back Asheville Americana band, Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters to its Hometown Sound Music Series in February. When Sister Aloysius, a strict Bronx school principal, suspects Father Flynn of improper behavior with a student, she takes matters into her own hands, igniting a tense battle of faith, trust, and uncertainty.

Life Sucks. – MARCH 20-30

In this bold reimagining of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, a group of friends, ex-lovers, and lifelong adversaries gather to confront life’s biggest questions—and each other. Hilariously hapless and heartbreakingly human, Life Sucks explores the chaos and comedy of existence with wit, hope, and a touch of existential angst.

Empire Strikes Brass – MARCH 15

Hendersonville Theatre is proud to launch its 2024 Hometown Sound Music Series with Asheville favorite, Empire Strikes Brass! This unforgettable performance is not to be missed. This brass, funk, and rock band has a lot to say with a big sound. Chock-full of serious groove from a thumping rhythm section and lush horn arrangements, the band’s compositional roots as well as its creative and collaborative soul contribute lots of depth to their original tunes and covers.

Storm String Quartet – MARCH 2

Hendersonville Theatre, in collaboration with Hendersonville Symphony, proudly presents the Storm String Quartet, a dynamic ensemble featuring some of Western North Carolina’s finest string musicians. Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner – FEBRUARY 6-16

A progressive white couple’s liberal ideals are put to the test when their daughter’s Black fiancé arrives for dinner in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. Set in 1967, this fresh stage adaptation of the iconic film explores love, family, and the clash of racial and generational differences with humor and insight. Will love triumph amid the tension?
