Where is Hendersonville Theatre? Our 117-seat theatre is at 229 South Washington Street in Hendersonville, NC.  We are about half an hour south of Asheville and 40 minutes north of Greenville.

How will I get the tickets I purchased? Hendersonville Theatre sends all tickets via email. When you arrive, please have your tickets on your screen or printed in hand as you enter the theatre. If using a mobile device, adjusting the screen brightness to 100% is essential for expedited scanning.

When can I see a show at Hendersonville Theatre? HT is open year-round and offers shows on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as well as occasional activities and events during the week. To see our schedule, please visit our calendar page.

How can I find out what’s happening at the Hendersonville Theatre? We send out emails and newsletters once a month that include updates on all happenings at HT. We also stay active on social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube) and this website. To subscribe to our email list, click here.

What are the Box Office hours? Our box office is open from 10 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Friday and 90 minutes before the show time. If you would like to order tickets over the phone, please leave a message at 828-692-1082 or email us at [email protected], and we will contact you as soon as possible. 

Can I bring my children to the theatre? We strongly recommend children under the age of 4 not attend productions other than those designated as toddler-friendly. Family-friendly performances, if available, will be noted on a production’s informational page. You can also find ratings for all our main stage productions on show pages. If you have questions about content or age-appropriateness, please contact the box office at 828-692-1082. For the comfort of our audience, any patron making a disturbance during a show will be asked to step out of the auditorium— regardless of age.

Are discounts available? Yes! We offer discounts for groups, military, and veterans. For more information about these or other special packages we offer, please contact the Box office at 828-692-1082.

Can my tickets be refunded or exchanged? All tickets are non-refundable and can only be exchanged for a different date of the same production. For date/time changes, we would like to have at least 24 hours’ notice before your currently scheduled performance.

I ordered online or over the phone. Why did I have to pay a service fee? There is a 5% plus 85¢ per ticket service fee and NC sales tax for all ticket orders. These service fees help keep our Box Office running and pay for ticket-selling software, server maintenance, and employee labor. We do our best to keep these fees as low as possible.

How do I contact someone during a performance in the event of an emergency? Please call the main theatre number at 828-692-1082, and we will do our best to get a message to a patron in the audience.

Can I take photos or videos during a show? Cameras (photo or video) and tape recording equipment are prohibited in the auditorium during theatrical production and some concerts. NO CELL PHONE VIDEOTAPING IS ALLOWED.

Are there concessions and alcohol at Hendersonville Theatre? Yes, there are! Our lobby has a complete concession stand serving snacks, soft drinks, beer, wine, cider, and other beverages, which are available for purchase before performance and during intermission. No outside food or beverages are permitted in the theatre, but concession items purchased at the theatre are allowed inside the auditorium. For meals before or after the show, check out the excellent options in downtown Hendersonville, just a few minutes’ walk from the theater!

Is there parking at Hendersonville Theatre? We offer our patrons free parking right at the theater! Parking is available on the street in front of the theater and our lot at the back of the theater. After business hours, you may also park in the Habitat for Humanity parking lot. All parking areas are first come, first serve, so we recommend arriving early to secure a prime spot.

Do you have a smoking area? Smoking is not allowed in the building, per city ordinance.

What types of groups enjoy coming to HT? Motor coach tours, church groups, senior citizen groups, civic groups, specialty groups, schools, office parties, reunions, and your organization! See our Group Sales section for more information.

What is the Dress Code? We welcome a range of attire choices. The dress is generally casual, but feel free to dress up fancy if you are inclined! You certainly won’t be the only one. We recommend bringing a sweater or a jacket as we keep the theater cool for the comfort of all present.

Can I bring my dog, who loves listening to music? Even though we love animals, they’re not allowed on our property. However, we make an exception for trained service animals (see below).

Does Hendersonville Theatre allow service animals? Yes, service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome inside the theater and must always remain on a leash or in a harness. A service animal must sit under the guest’s seat or at his/her feet and is not permitted to sit in the aisle or on seats. A guest whose service animal threatens the safety of other guests and/or staff may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Please note that emotional support, therapy, comfort, companion animals, or service animals in training are not considered service animals under the ADA. If you intend to bring a service animal to an event, please notify the Box Office at the time of purchase so that we can help identify the most suitable seating location.
